Do I still receive the messages?

Since i think there is still no way to change your email for the dq account. would i still be able to receive the messages? i remember when there was an update where there are holiday giveaways i think but when i updated i received none. however i do receive chests from the battle arena but that’s about it. is this because the email i used to register my dq account has already been long gone? I mean i deactivated that email about a year ago.
