Making new assets and implementing huge content (mechanics, animations, statistics etc) takes time. Plus ARPGs take a long time to develop anyways.
Though it could be that the devs are using a newer engine (unity3D pls!) than before so they have to start from ground up, hence, the longer development time.
Iād advise you to play something else (torchlight, diablo, chronicon etc) for the time being.
