# Hireling question~

Hey guys, so I just recently bought a hireling slot for the first time and planned to have it equipped with a farming build. I want to ask a quick question, do I gain the effect of the farming build even if it is in my hireling slot or do I need it to be my main character for the build to work?😅

Luck & Item Drop are averaged between the Main & Hireling. there is also a 100% Item Drop over cap when using a Main & Hireling that is added to the average (Item Drop cap 200 + 100 Hireling bonus).

Gold Find affix, and the Sets Nadroji’s, Eternalized, Mythical, and Crystalline only need to be on the Main. the reason Gold Find only needs to be on the Main is because it’s the Main Character who picks up the Gold & Items.

I haven’t tested if the Hireling needs Gold Find when equipped with a Hound, but the two tests I did show the Hireling doesn’t need Gold Find.
