How do you access the mail & treasure chest in the upper right corner of the main menu screen?

I keep on getting msg “connection failed, please check connection and try again” I closed DQ and went on amazon to check on my order with no problem of connection. I then run DQ and still got same msg when I click on button to upload.

Update: works now, I got into message system, either a glitch or server was busy
