We only had to release an update for Android to allow the vanity and boost messages to be sent (it was more to do with a store front update on the google side).
Apple and amazon builds can get the vanity and boosts with no issues.
Currently we are tracking down a crash on android and a crash on amazon devices (not related to each other). We hope to have these fixes in the next update.

or was that in regards to the patch couple days ago?

Those should have gone out this morning, in the form of luck and monster boosts. These will be in the message queue on the last page.
