I was messing around with my build a little bit, and noticed that when I use my Orb to cast Teleport or Taunt, I wasn’t getting any Orbit Elemental Crits. I had been trying out different Sets and Elements. Plagued with Poison, I was getting Toxic, Demonic with Fire I was getting Immolation, Permafrost with Ice I was getting Freeze, but I wasn’t getting Orbit while using Arcane with Living Force. I was getting Orbits with the MH; Staff/Comet/Storm Arcane with Defiant, but using the OH Skills with Arcane Element, I wasn’t getting any Elemental Orbit Crits. I was thinking of Teleporting around and leaving Orbits where I land, kind of like using a Scalp Proc. I was getting more Orbits with Storm, with it’s increased chance for Elemental Crits, but even the Comets were creating Orbits. I had +10 all skills, so Teleport and Taunt were both 10.
