Question about Hired AI

Just wondering how the Hired AI calculate when to attack and how far their range is for detecting mobs. I’ve noticed that a lot of times the AI would stand just a slight distance away from me and not do anything while there is a large group of mob right in front of them. A lot of times they are in the fray with me but there has been times where they die because they don’t do anything but stand there. More often than not they do go to a mob and attack but their behavior just feels really inconsistent and costs a lot to make up for, with revives and me dying because they aren’t tanking hits, since they’re dead >_<

They determine threats based on a fixed range from their spells. This isn’t a perfect system, which is why we’re thinking of giving players some options to control aggro range and skill preference.
