It took me one year to get an eternal pet. See if my old thread will help. Several things have changed with regards to luck being higher with epiphany and ascension. You can also have eternalized at 8 now with the new gear past floor 1k. Cheers
I had my first eternal pet just a month ago and I had been playing for more than a year.
Very elusive eternal pet indeed.
