The build for this week is a 100% Specialist Rogue on Smokebomb + Whirlingblades combo.

The build basically has 100% chance of casting specials twice which in this case are Smokebombs & Whirlingblades, every cast doubles it, that’s a lot of Smokebombs & Whirlingblades casts.

Key factors for the build are :

  • 25% Specialist on 4 Items to get 100%.
  • Mirror Image Proc. or Trickster Set (or both), the build will be using Whirlingblades, Mirror Image can cast Whirlingblades, more Mirror Image means more blades, paired with Deception (30) Talent that adds extra survivability or Blindside (30) Talent for Whirlingblades damage, the talent choice depends on you.
  • Elements Set for more chances of double casting spells.
  • 70% Reduced CD to spam Smokebombs (1.5 sec CD).
  • Elemental Crits (Immolate) & Elemental Damage (Blistering) for bleed to sync with Ruptured Mythic Skill (Chest).
  • Bombardier (30) Talent, that’s a lot of Smokebombs.

Gameplay at Floor 3400+ M3 :

Since there’s a downtime window when you cast Whirlingblades and wait for it to return, spam your Smokebombs while the blades are still spinning. Just stand in the middle of everything and spam both spells. Stealth Proc. with Stealth (30) + Deception (30) with Mirror Images + Insta Dodge per Smokebombs is enough for you to survive (although you can still die based on RNG alone, but very rarely as you can see on the video). The build has 75% Dodge by the way.

PS : If you don’t want the 30% Elemental Critical along with 100% Blistering Legend affix and want to swap it out with something else, be sure to choose the Razored Talent (Amulet) instead of Darkness Talent for Bleed purposes for Ruptured Mythic Skill (Chest).

SmokeScreen Set. now SmokeBomb is a ranged skill.

@golem That’s a great idea, If I remember correctly there’s a Bomb OH on Smokescreen Set that I can swap for my current OH, I’ll try it.

I’m using SmokeScreen on one of my Rogue builds. it isn’t maximized like I’d like it to be, but I like how it can reach some of the ranged enemies that are always sniping me.

@Golem I kinda don’t like how the Smokescreen set works with my build, it’s pretty random, but I think it’s pretty awesome with Taunt Proc or Cyclone Mythic Skill (unfortunately I don’t have a slot for it).

I’ve had lots of builds where I had to change Sets because they didn’t synergize like I thought they would.

on the other hand, because of that, I’ve made many nice discoveries.
