The GF effect is capped at 650%, but that doesnt stop you from putting more on your gear. It’s not working off of your total GF, it’s working of of your average per piece, so the cap doesn’t matter.

Golden veins:when GF on gear above 650%, HP increase stop

tested in 1.7.1.0

You tested the cap, and the cap is indeed 650%. But the cap has nothing to do with this. You aren’t understanding the mechanics, so you are wrong. Average is what’s important here. Read the affix, read this thread and its posts again. Cap has nothing to do with it.

if you have 1200% GF,you can remove one equip, the DMG have no change

if you have 650% GF ,when you remove one equip, the DMG is reduce

We need a confirmation on this build…

Gold find =/= Gold find On Gear

That’s all :unamused:

I tried to explain that.

I have 60mil… why do I need goldfind? Wish there were items purchasable for 100mil and 1billion gold ')

but 1200% and 650% Gold find On Gear have a same DMG and HP

you waste 550% Gold find

look this

Okay guys, I need help understanding caps. I’m looking in the codex and see one entry in the dictionary for “Gold Find” - affix - “increased gold drop rate”. Two well-respected guys are saying GF != GFoG (gold find on gear). I simply don’t understand how they are different. More importantly, I am way over the cap on “attack speed”. I have 4 pieces of gear in my set that have “attack speed”. Together, they are well over 100, but the cap says 60. I assume I need to drop half of those 4 affixes to get it near 60, but with all of this talk of averaging and GF != GFoG, I’m trying to make sure I don’t remove affixes that appear to be over their cap but actually aren’t. Can you guys type real slow so I’ll understand?

The cap is indeed 650%. That was never in doubt, the confusion all stemmed I think from the wording from the set affix, GF on gear. Which can be interpreted to mean that the cap isn’t being used in the calculations, but rather any and all GF that happens to be on your gear. Instead, I think all it means is it’s not using the bonus GF from your ep setting.

The wording could be made to be clearer in any case.

I think I understand. Now, the question is, in your build, you have almost 1200 in GFoG. Are you saying that only 650 of that is being used AND the EP boost is negated or that all 1200 is being used and just the EP boost being negated, or neither?

Well this is Diieters build, not mine , but from what I’ve gathered from the discussion in this thread and the other one about this, 650% of the 1200 is what is being used. That all has to come directly from gear, if you had only 500% on gear, and 150% for ep bonus, its only the 500%.

How much hp and damage increase using golden vein exactly?

If i have 650% GFoG, then with lv5 Golden Vein, my hp and damage increase for 125% x 650%?
Does this mean more than 7 times my usual hp and damage?

Oh, one more question, aside from crystal affix, can i get gold find from another affix like legend or epic affix?

Necroposting…

I think Specialist affix will do wonders on this build!

This build ain’t usefull at all since 1.7 because of the huge nerf made on this affixescombo :dieter:

There are 2 "gold find" :

Gold find : Capped at 650% (your total value from Challenges (before 1.7) / HeroicSkills (after 1.7) and from Gear)
Gold find On Gear : Not capped (the value on your gear, for a crystal affix it’s between 150 and 200%)

On this build I reach 1200% Gold Find On Gear, but I reach 650% Gold Find
And the 2 set affixes (Buccaneer and Golden Veins) use "Gold Find on Gear" not "Gold Find"[/quote]
thats mean GFoG excluded for stat cap?
