Community Resources Update & Repair

Hey, folks! :waving_hand: As some of you are likely already aware, I’ve recently returned and have made it my first priority to make the community resources (Wiki, SHTT, builds compendium, etc.) up to date, organized and relevant. SHTT is missing things with some minor data inaccuracies, builds are hardly organized at all since ~2019 and the Wiki (Affixes page specifically) is almost entirely counterintuitive to use if one is seeking accurate information.

I am fixing these things. I’ve barely made a dent in the workload thus far, and I’ve discovered three things:

  1. SHTT fell into disrepair due to the amount of work I assumed needed to go into it — it’s held together better than I expected, especially in comparison to the wiki, but still needs a lot of time put into it.
  2. The wiki is inaccurate, irrelevant and/or outdated on much of its contents dating all the way back to 2015.
  3. The amount of time required to update these resources is much more than I expected. I’m currently 24 hours into the workload and, at this rate, I estimate at least 100 more hours and likely more to get everything up to date.

I have less time these days than I did some years ago, and I can’t work through these resources and only perform patch jobs because some things are so inaccurate that I need to essentially doublecheck every single value ever inputted on the Wiki. This is proving to be very tedious for me as I don’t have a ton of time and I need to finish my Codex with the newest additions as well as needing to put a new build together entirely so I can start looting the rarer items.

I need your help!

I’m going to attach a worksheet to this thread with a chart of the affixes present on the Wiki — a lot of them are going to be wrong, many will have misplaced info, they will be unorganized and some will even be straight up missing. If anyone notices any missing affixes, incorrect values, misspellings, etc. please go into the worksheet and change it, or, at the very least, post the issue here with an image of the problem area and what needs to be changed or send me a DM outlining the said issue and provide the accurate information.

you’ll probably need an assistant or two.

the Wiki & Codex are probably the two biggest projects, and the double checking everything is going to expand the work load by about 2.5x.

I’ll see if I can’t make some notes and share soon. don’t hate me! :rofl: lol!

I was taking a look in the Wiki, and I think you are updating it while I was comparing notes with my Hero Tab for Heroic Skills. lol

I’m like, “wait, did that value just change?”.

Edit: I was actually taking notes on what needed to be updated, and looking up after taking notes, my notes were already outdated!

I didn’t know if I should be outraged or impressed. great work!

Yes, I have made some changes already! I have the original copy backed up so I can compare between the two if needed, but I was making an attempt to include any changes that I caught as I was going through and formatting everything to the worksheet.
Once everything is back in proper order, I’ll take the updated sheet, proofread for any final potential errors and then I will use it to update the Wiki as well as the affixes spreadsheet and LegendEx from SHTT. The sheets themselves will ultimately have a bit more info than before, and so will the Wiki. By this, I mean that I will try to include any formulas or extra stipulations a feature may have along with its min/max rolls, etc.
