Desire Sensor

I’m Reading a manga, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction, and am at a part where the characters are spending money on a gacha game for a game character for the purpose of making a cosplay costume, and many other game characters are coming up except for the one they need for the costume.

The main character said ‘the Desire Sensor is a high performance AI built into the game. It’s a feature that detects what a player wants and makes it harder to get, so the player can enjoy the game longer.’ (ch. 88 pg. 10-11)(I know this isn’t real, but when I don’t get what I want after a few thousand attempts, I can’t help but wonder)

The reason I shared this is that many times when I want a certain Legend, Set, Crystal, or Epic affix, I always seem to get what I don’t want a lot until I’ve spent most or even all of my Crystals & Gold, and then I might get the affix that I really want, sometimes even after I’ve had to farm for more Crystals & Gold for a second try.

This has come up before, but the scene in the manga really brought this situation to life, and I just had to share it.
