So if DQ2 is a different game will it have a storyline that is not related to the storyline of DQ or will it be the continuation of DQ?

DQ doesn’t have a storyline. since the Dev’s are calling it DQ2?, I am guessing that some game mechanics might be based on DQ in a bigger interactive multi player world/game of some kind that does have some kind of storyline.
other than that, you should see what has been mentioned in the other Posts concerning DQ2 by the Developers.
