win more lose less. when you are offline, your Character might be chosen to fight while controlled by the A.I., and if it loses it will go down in Rank while going up by winning.
I’ve gotten into the Eternal League with only Epic Affixes, but it’s not easy.

if you’re not sure what kind of Build to make for Battle Arena, look at your opponents builds between rounds. even if you don’t use them, they can give you ideas for improving your own builds.
I tried that sometimes but when i look at their build, some of their gear shows only a question mark (?) 
the other way is to consider the build you used and make small changes or do a lot of Searching 
of Battle Arena or PVP posts that have builds shared by other players.
there are some posts that give the affix values as they are in Battle Arena so you have a better understanding of what your build will do when you use different combinations of affixes.
