How can my lvl 5 item out dps a lvl 35?

I’ve had a rare mama shield show a huge out dps on items 30 levels higher… Can someone explain this to me? I’m new and could not find a search peramenter to answer this.

@soapcrates i think it would be better if you will post a screen shot of the items you are trying to compare…

But you may want to look at the item if it has atk spd, dmg, or multi attack affixes in it… you may also want to check the item quality found on the upper left corner of the item window (once you tap the item)
