If you want to get 1 obsidian from converting all of your calcite you will need 524288 calcite .Have fun collecting that.

But funnily enough its faster to make a build with tge crystals and just farm fir obsidian than to try and farm that many calcite

That is correct @ShadowDragon.
2^19 = 524,288
- where:
- 20 total crystals less calcite = 19
- 2 for each crystal convert to yield the next level crystal.
You also get ultra rare Crystal when you use crystals (375 with Accomplished ascension and 500 without). Ultra rare crystals being defined as Jasper, Zircon, Garnet, Ruby, Amethyst and Obsidian.
Using Crystalline set affix (hat / mainhand) on your main character in addition to Treasured ascension on your main character will yield a better chance for ultra rare Crystal to drop.
Sometimes ultra rare crystals are available to purchase for gold in the store.
Converting cyan or crystal legend gears can yeild an ultra rare along with converting an eternal legend gear.
