First, I’d like to thank @Golem for sharing the build structure with me. I must say I’m having a lot of fun with it; I’m currently climbing floor 600 and the damage is absurd, haha. Ignore the lack of MP reduce on the bow, as I haven’t gotten it yet, haha. So I put a temporary 7500 MP to work around it, and it’s doing well so far. My goal with this post is to find out from more experienced players if anything can still be improved. I believe there is; nothing is so good that it can’t be improved, right? However, I can’t see any improvements, so I’m accepting suggestions. Thank you in advance, gentlemen!
the only weak spot on this build is the Momentum Set. with Momentum (5) and +30% Move Speed, you only get +15% DMG.
there are a number of ways to fix this.
- Use a Pet with a better Set affix.
- More Move Speed.
- Add Skill Procs that give improved Move Speed.
- Place Drought Mythic on Ring and go down to one +15% Move Speed. Just Move +10 GuidedShot to another spot.
with number 4, you only get +7.5% DMG with Momentum, but when you activate Drought Mythic the DMG goes up to +37.5% DMG, for 5 seconds (has a 5 second cooldown), you also get a +50% Move Speed (the reason DMG goes up), and +50% APS (even more DPS!). or drop the +10 Fletcher instead for +15% DMG, +40% DMG with Drought. the +50% APS should more than make up for losing +10 Fletcher.
I’ve used this with Momentum before, and it’s a nice boost. the cooldown is the same as the duration, so you don’t have to wait to use it again when you need it. I usually used it when there were large mobs or Epic+ monsters.

I confess it got a little confusing, or maybe I just didn’t pay enough attention and should reread it a few times, haha. Regarding another affix on the pet, what do you suggest?
if you have Drought on the Ring, you would move GuidedShot to the Pet.
when I first joined DQ Forums, there was a lot of confusion how Momentum worked. it turns out all three Characters have 100% Move Speed. you can get another +100% by +50% from affixes or Mythstones and +50% from Skills/Talents.
ok, I just looked at the Stat Page > All Stats > Move Speed 50% cap. so affixes & Mythstones combined cap at +50%. this cap should be affected by Epiphany Set, um Epiphany Set (5) would raise the Move Speed cap to 62.5%.
if there is a 100% cap for Momentum, the other 50% comes from skill or Talents. I don’t know if this cap is affected by Epiphany Set.
I do know that the +50% Move Speed from Drought can put you over the +100% ‘cap’, I think I tested it a long time ago.
And regarding the alternative affix, which would be the best? I ask because I have some pets here and sometimes it might be quicker to resolve this issue, unless this change to the ring is more advantageous, or even using an epic pet with good affixes. If that’s the case, please let me know which ones would be best. I want to optimize as much as possible, haha. Let me know, thank you sir.
Another question: this skill, “vault,” indicates that it grants 10% at the current level. Do you know if this stacks with momentum?
are you asking about the Set affix? I would suggest just looking at the Set descriptions and using the one that best fits your build.
I’ve had build ideas where I’ve had to change Set affixes because what I was hoping for didn’t actually work, or I discovered a Set that worked better than one I was using.
yes, this is where the other 50% of Move Speed comes from, the other 50% being from affixes.
