Do fire have any advantage comparing to poison if we do not consider resistance from enemies. Can fire give any speical function because it lasts 2 second?
I wish those element damage has their own side-effect …

Fire = Burn(Damage Overtime on player)
Ice = Freeze(slow/stop enemy)
Lightning = Shock(amplify dmg)
Poison = Chaos (toxic floor-dmg overtime on a place/area)
Arcane = Physical dmg??

Choas in POE does damage to hp and cuts through Energy Shield

Problem is … in this game dun have Energy Shield mechanic so …
Fire simply works faster.
To make poison more viable it should ignore armour
