Just Reached Floor 200

Hey everyone I need some Guidance

I have just finished floor 200 and I am stuck on what I should be doing and what I should be focusing on.

Should I been pushing higher and higher?
Or should I be building up my gears?

I am a 99 Wizard and I run a pretty random build atm just pure DMG, I got lucky on a good weapon drop which is the Eternal Golems Gauntlets that has +4 Multi Attack which pretty much one shots everything which boosted me from floor 120 all the way to 200 with no problems.

I am wanting to get the Zenith mythstone so that I can build a Skull Shield farming build because I saw a video about it but I am not actually sure if its Zenith I need or an actual full set.

What is a good starting set to use for myself, Ascendant, Inferno or whatever, I haven’t unlocked any good gear that boosts my sets yet so I have to either go full set or just randomize it and choose based off the Red Stats because of my survivability and use Crystals to chanfe the Affix to what I need but I am full glasscannon right now and not much sustain which I intend on changing soon. I just need help on which set to use until I get higher.

Big post I know sorry but I don’t want to just go in blind and grind for nothing and waste all my time

Welcome to DQ Forums @Razzacc !

Farm Build: This Build is for getting Gold, Crystals, Mythstones, Items, and anything else you need later for making different and/or better Builds.

Climbing Build: These Builds are for Climbing Floors, with damage & defense a priority.

Ascending Build: This Build is specifically for getting experience while getting Perks. (experience from monsters stops going up at floor 100)

Battle Arena: PVP Builds.

as you can see, Builds depend on what your goal is.

Random builds are ok for when you are just getting started or want to see how good you are with weird combinations or how far you can go until you hit a wall of invincible enemies who kill you all the time until you run out of Gold.

there are Set Affixes that are on four or six Items, but you usually end up changing a lot of the other affixes to make the build better. Aftermath is an early game build that can do well in later game play if you change some affixes. I’ve done builds with all Equality Set and am testing a Build with Ascending (8) and +120% Weaken. with these types of builds, you have to build around the Set you are using on all of your Items. some Set affixes can be used with any Elements while others are for a specific Element, and Ascendant is best for having all Elements on a Build.

you don’t have to have a Build with 7 different Set affixes. if you only need 5 different Set affixes, then that’s all you need. because there are so many different Sets, it’s kind of hard to say any particular one is good as the only one to use.

in the early game on lower floors; Health, Armor, All Resist, Damage Reduction, HP Regen & HP on Hit are what keep you alive. on higher floors; Dodge, Block, Sanctuary Mythic are important. Crowd Control effects and moving around to not get hit work for early and late game play.

in the end, consider what you want to do and go for it.

hope this helps.

Thanks Golem, right now I am trying to breeze through higher floors on Normal Difficuilty, I can do it on M3 but I am trying to rush to get the Zenith Mythstone but don’t know which floor drops them?

I am currently on floor 330 what happens at floor 301 also I remember seeing something a month ago but have forgotten, and is there any trick to getting more Eternals cause I am struggling to find any do I have to get to higher floors to get certain Eternals?

Zenith Mythstone: on Mythstones & Crystals, in the lower left corner (iLvL?), is the number of the lowest floor it can drop. Crystal Calcite starts dropping on floor 1 while Mythstone Hero starts dropping on floor 21.

the rarer the Crystal or Mythstone, the lower the chances of it dropping. every 100 floors (100, 200, 300, 400, and 500) the lowest Crystal & Mythstone stop dropping while the chances for all others to drop get a little better (on floor 500, Kyanite now has the same chance to drop as Calcite did) (Ultra Rare are still low chance, but have the best chance of dropping at floor 500). also, Legend & Mythic monsters have improved chances of dropping Ultra Rare Crystals & Mythstones, as long as you are on the minimum floor or higher for them to drop. Mythical Set improves chances of Mythstones dropping while Crystalline Set improves chances of Crystals dropping and for Legend/Eternal Items dropping with a Crystal affix

Eternal Items: Luck improves the chances of an Item dropping as a Legend Item. from what I’ve read, there is a possible 1% chance of a Legend Ifem dropping as an Eternal Item. Eternalized Set and Treasured Perk both increase the chance (additively) of a Legend Item dropping as an Eternal Item. besides the fact that Eternal Items are very rare drops, they have the same drop requirements as their Legend versions. Legend Golex’s Gauntlet can be found anywhere = Eternal Golex’s Gauntlet can be found anywhere. Legend Ignis’s Minion is found near lava (Fire Maps) past floor 20 = Eternal Ignis’s Minion is found near lava past floor 20.

Thank you so much for that information Golem you are an awesome guy I can see it through this forum, the time you take to explain and help everyone I really appreciate your help here on my thread cheers mate

Dungeon Quest is really fun!

lately, I’ve been doing Searches :mag: that turn up some of the older posts, and have been learning new stuff that can still be used today. and it can be kind of fun to see how much better DQ is now compared to when they were Beta Testing and when it first went live.

plus, it helps that I’ve read lots of the DQ Forums, and that’s helped me a lot with Builds.
