Hi, I’m playing rogue using ninja blinkstrike cast/proc and I need some clarification. BlinkStrike from Heroic Skills gets +2 multiple attacks and on my WIP offhand i just got +2 MultiAttack. I can clearly see that it works with QuickAttack, but does it work with Blinkstrike?
No. Multi Attack & Extra Attack Chance affixes & Mythstones only work on MH Primary Skills, QuickAttack for example.
Yes. MA & EAC will work on a MH Special Skill when using Discordance Mythic. BlinkStrike for example.
Mutilate Talent affects any skill affected by Multi Attack & Extra Attack Chance on a Rogue Build.

- Discordance Mythic - MH Special Skill
BlinkStrike 40 with Mutilate 40 = BlinkStrike DMG x 3.2 Mutilate Multi Attack DMG (1800% x +100% x +60%) = (18 x 2 x 1.6) = 5760% DMG.
Discordance would be (300% x +100% x +60%)
with +4 Multi Attack (300% x +300% x +60%) = (3 x 4 x 1.6) = 1920% DMG
the DMG is lower with Discordance, but BlinkStrike is attacking as fast as QuickAttack instead of waiting for the Cooldown to finish.
BlinkStrike 40 with +60% Cooldown attacks every 1.2 seconds
BlinkStrike 40 with +60% Attack Speed attacks 6.4 times a second.
Special BlinkStrike 4800% DPS versus
Primary BlinkStrike 12,288% DPS every second
since you are Blinking around, the DPS will be spread around, unless you are Blinking against a wall while damaging enemies.
Note: these numbers will change depending on the Build and only reflect a part of the DMG calculations for the purpose of comparison.

Thank You very much! i did not consider using discordance, but it looks good, so ill try it.
Edit: Tested it, blink strike still has some kind of cooldown, about 0.5 sec, so ninja set with quickstrike feels better

ahh, yeah, now I remember that it’s mentioned that Specials don’t go below 0.5 seconds. that’s still 2 APS. it takes a lot to get most Specials below 1 APS. usually they’re 1.? seconds Cooldown or higher.
the good thing about your test, Birkart, is that now I don’t have to do the tons of Discordance tests I was planning on doing.
