I am wondering where can i farm crystals such as ruby amethyst specifically near garnet.
floor 400 atm getting one shotted as well.

The crystals you receive are generally random, but you can improve your chances of getting the higher tier crystals in a few different ways:
- The Crystalline set can improve your chances of finding rarer crystals.
- Every 100 floors up to floor 500 will increase the minimum rarity of crystals dropped.
You can also convert lower tier crystals to higher tiers if you have multiples of the lower tiers and some gold. @JesusSaves wrote a more detailed guide about crystal hunting here with a few more methods for finding rarer crystals.
If you need help with your build to maximize survivability, then it would help for you to post what you are using currently.
All of the Ascension perks are pretty good. If you’re looking for more higher rarity crystals, dealer will help you with the expensive conversion costs. It really does make a significant increase to the amount of gold you have to spend.

on higher floors, Dodge, Block, Sanctuary Mythic, Avoiding Attacks, Crowd Control Effects, Warrior & Rogue Talent that causes enemies to miss you, these are the way to go versus lots of HP, Armor, All Resist, and Damage Reduction which work better on lower floors and Battle Arena.
