So I’m currently at floor 165+ and idk what should I do stick to 1 element or switch every 5 floors and what gear and affixes should I get that is currently obtainable during this stage of the game and should i use two damage gear and to armor and health gear so that i have a mix of damage and survivability?

look for Chest Items with Sorcery, as this increases the DMG of Fire DoT .
Head Items with Amplify, as this gives a DMG boost when the enemy has Fire DoT on them.
Ring Items with Magnify to give your Comet, Meteor, and Explosive bigger AoE.
Amulet Items with Fester for longer DoT duration and effectiveness or Empower for more Power Stat at the cost of HP.
keep an eye out for Nadroji’s Ring and Amulet, because they have +2 All Sets.
Weaken is a great affix. get it to +60% to +120%, depending on how much space you can spare. Weaken is a chance to do Weaken DMG. Weaken is calculated with enemy resistances, allowing you to do DMG that isn’t affected by enemy resists or immunities. Weaken can go up to +200%, and Weaken of 100% or higher is automatically Weaken DMG.
If you don’t want to go with Weaken, there is an affix called Ignore Resist (it cancels Weaken), or you can have either an Ice or Arcane back up weapons.
take a look in the LegendEx part of the Codex. each Legend Item has a hint of where to find Items. some can be found anywhere while others have restrictions, like past a certain floor or minimum difficulty level, on a certain Element or dropped by Powerful Enemies (these are Epic, Legend, or Mythic monsters).
