I have found a way to install and play the old version of the game which was before new sets like crushing flames were a thing and arcanist is an OP affix because of its effect that increases the overall dmg instead of just increasing elem dmg. I have the “that” version of dungeon quest which was 2.4.1 and it is fully playable on my phone alongside with my 3 apk of the game with the current version~
*Note : this is not a cheated version of the game as I’m against cheating the game, it is a clean old version of the game without any cheats whatsoever. I just want to experience how different the old arcanist set affix and how different to play with the old version along with the current one. As for the 3 DQ with the current same versions, I just cloned them to play with my different accounts on Google as I’m too broke to buy slots although I have bought one extra slot in my main acc (rogue). They are also not cheated and is an original APK from playstore. I also want to play different account from scratch without the temptation of using my shared stash my main account cause that would defeat my purpose of starting off from scratch with a different class~😀
I’ve always wondered what it would be like playing with some of the older versions. I started playing DQ about 6-12 months before Patch 3.0 came out, and I remember how awesome many of the changes were, even though I was still a noob. actually, when version 3.0 came out, that’s when I started playing DQ more seriously.
I just did some math, and the old version of Arcanist did more damage, but not my much. but then again, more ways of multiplying damage have been added to the game, so that might be why Arcanist damage was changed from increasing total damage to increasing ED% damage.
In this versions, I’ll try to play and make the seasonal maiden build but with wizard class and without the discordance mythic because if I’m correct, discordance mythic swaps the base dmg and all types of dmg increasing method (extra attack chance, multi attack, attack speed, etc.) of the primary (weapon) and my primary special (2nd skill)? That’s why chakram is the best weapon to use for this mythic because of its high base weapon dmg. Wherein, all of these aren’t that much applicable to the class wizard since most of the time, skill dmg deals more dmg than the primary weapon attack even if you build a basic attack-centered build. So yeah, I’ll be skipping discordance mythic on this build on my wizard, although all of these are still just in my mind which I will probably write these down for me not to forget the time when I’ll finally be able to create this build in my DQ version 2.4.1. Also, I’ll probably finish my hireling reworked seasonal maiden build first on my main rogue account that is centered on dealing with low life enemies and epic+ enemies.
*These builds and progresses may take a whole while since, I do not play DQ all the time as I have 300+ total games on my phone so there may be times where I can’t play or focus DQ😅
Wizard Discordance Builds usually use Gauntlet as it has +150% Primary Skill Weapon Damage and it also has the highest Wizard Weapon DMG for the highest Wizard DPS.
Rogue use Chakram for the 300% Primary Skill Weapon Damage and it’s the Rogues highest Rogue Weapon DMG & DPS.
Warrior is split between Lance for higher Damage Spike with second best DPS and Sword with lowest Damage but a lot better DPS.
here is the DPS for the different MH Primary Skills using BWD, 100 Power, and +60% Attack Speed. (I did this because I was surprised that Sword has much better DPS than Hammer or Lance)
