Welcome to DQ Forums @SebViel !

don’t worry, DQ isn’t dead yet.

you need to go farther with experimenting. learning the basics of the game will help you later. try making an Epic Affix only build.

Ascendant and Equality Set builds are good for beginners. there are others, but I haven’t studied them yet. the reason there isn’t much help for beginners is that all players learn as fast as they can and read as much as they can on the Forum, and then end up making lots of good builds in a few weeks or months.

some of the new players are making good builds earlier than I did when I started, but I spent a lot of time just goofing around until I got serious about playing DQ when Patch 3.0 came out.

fight monsters and collect gold and Items, gain experience.

there are 3 Classes, Wizard, Warrior, and Rogue. only you can decide which one to use.

Read The Codex!
choose a Class, Weapons and Skills, Element or Elements, and decide of if you want to Climb Floors - Farm - or work on getting Perks with an Ascending Build.

you now have a good understanding of affix combinations and have decided on which Class & Weapons to use. Farming is important for getting what you need to Climb Floors and/or fight in the Battle Arena.

you should have a good Farm Build and are now Climbing Floors like crazy or moving up the Ranks in Battle Arena.

start on very easy and work your way up to higher difficulty levels when you get stronger.

Can you show me what a luck build should look like? And is it the build I should try to get before getting other builds?

Also what newbie build do i use if i want to climb to floor 200 (for wizard) and how to get them and also what should a luck build look like please help!

To climb to 200, A simple Energy Manashield build with good damage output should be enough.

A luck build is really just a good build with luck slapped on it. Crushing Flames is the basic strategy for high floors, and you have tons of space for luck affixes.

except for Very Easy, all difficulty levels have a Luck bonus. subtract that from 650 to know how much Luck to have on your build.

Luck from Difficulty Level, Natures, Affixes, and Fortune Skill all apply to the Luck Cap.

Ascendant Set Items might be the best beginner Items. some maps make some enemies immune to the Maps Element and some high Tier monsters can Greatly Resist from 1 to 5 Elements. Ascendant changes your Element randomly to another Element, and if your weapon is Arcane Element, it will also reduce the enemies Element resists.

What are these ascendant set items?

Ascendant - Increases All Resist & Prismatic +12.5%. Reduces enemy’s other resists -12.5% with
Arcane attacks per Rank.

since you’re a Wizard:

Crown of Elements (Head) found past floor 11

Ascendant’s Rod (MH) found anywhere (has Ascendant Bonus, which gives +50% Weaken when you have 2 Items with Ascendant on them)

Chromatic Orb (OH) found anywhere

Astral Shroud (Chest) found past floor 6

Prismatic Necklace (Amulet) found past floor 21

Sera (Pet Fairy) dropped by Enslaver

Weaken is DMG that isn’t affected by enemy Resists or Immune. Weaken is a chance to do Weaken DMG. it has a cap of 200%, with Weaken 100% or higher, all attacks will do Weaken DMG.
