So I created a new rogue just to try it out but when i equipped a legendary pistol this one
clearly it has a ricochet at scattershot skills but in game it casted comet and meteor
One of you other quipped items (check your amulet/necklace) is giving you the battle mage talent which makes you main weapon skills that of the wizard class.

I actually dont have that the only legendaries I have equipped was the pistol and a coat with pistoleer set while the others (amulet,necklace, and hood) was the default one with no affixes, but restarting the game solves the problem
