Trying to play rogue but find it hard. In stuck in floor 300 legend cant progress any tips
Welcome to DQ Forums @Dewcent !
more defense or change your defense and more damage.
crit chance and crit damage give better damage spike and DPS. some Deadly Strike gives a chance to double your crit damage.
Elemental Critical can give extra DoT damage or DoT crowd control depending on the Element used.
try different Elements or weapons or Skills.
Weaken is an important affix, as it is a percentage chance to do Weaken DMG. Weaken DMG isn’t affected by enemy Map Element Resist & Immunity or Greatly Resist Element. Weaken has a cap of 200%. Weaken is your friend and easy to put on your equipment. there are some Items with Ignore Resist, which causes your damage to ignore enemy resists and immunity. Ignore Resist also cancels Weaken, so don’t use them together.
I played Rogue when I first played DQ, but using Chakrams was so hard that I switched to Wizard. now I’m using all 3 Classes and learning what I can do with all Weapons and Skills.
Thank you. Im getting the hang of it. Hey can you teach me how to mage as well? Im at floor 200 as well. Also what happen if i ascended my character? I did at my rogue but resets it at level 1?
for my Rogue, I usually use Weapons & Skills that go well with Ninja Talents, but lately I’ll use Talents from Pirate or Ranger as needed by the build. I like using Chakram or Flintlock for MH & Bomb for OH.
for Wizard it’s easiest to use Elementalist Talents and learn the others later.
Staff with Comet is best to start with. Staff Meteor is a powerful skill, but has medium range and sometimes doesn’t target enemies as well as you would like.
Gauntlet is next best when using Twister Special skill, with Blast being ok for enemies that get too close.
Wizard Sword has potential for lots of damage, but it’s better to learn the game a little better before using.
Wand is tricky to use. it’s lowest Wizard weapon for damage, and I’m still working on how best to get good DPS with it in comparison to the other weapons and skills.
there is a Crystal that lets you choose between 3 random Special Skills for your weapon if you want to change your Special skills. I’ve used Meteor, Storm, or Twister on Staff, and Twister or Orb on Gauntlet. for OH I’ve used Special Skills from all 3 Classes, depending on how I want my build to work.
Ascending a Character:
- resets your level to 1.
- Stats are reset to 1.
- Skill Ranks are not reset.
- equipped Items, Pets, and Trinkets of level 3 or higher are placed in one of your bags if there is space for them. if there is not enough space, you can not Ascend.
- the Character is equipped with level 1 Items and no Pet. if you have a level 1 or 2 Pet in inventory, you can equip them.
- your Character now has 1 or more Perks!
- the amount of experience you need to level up again is increased.
1x Perk 1
2x Perk 2
3x Perk 3
5x Perk 4
7x Perk 5
10x Perk 6
14x Last Ascend
if you have Gold, you can buy Items from the Shop. if you have Dust, you can buy Legend Items from the LegendEx.
Ohhh thank you for that information. Any tips on how to level up fast and get that last ascend?
what many players do is making 2 or 3 Ascending Builds.
for 3:
a level 1 or level 2 set of equipment to get to level 20, at which point you switch to…
a level 40 set of equipment to get to level 50, at which point you switch to…
a level 100 set of equipment that you use to get to level 99 again, and again, and again…
for 2:
a level 1 or level 2 set of equipment go get you to level 50, at which point you switch to…
a level 100 set of equipment that you use to get to level 99 again, and again, and again…
enemy experience stops increasing on floor 100, the experience is the same no matter how high the floor. floor 100 on M3 difficulty is the best experience possible.
getting a Quest Mythstone on each Item (not the Pet) will give you +200% experience. I usually put 6 Quest on the level 100 equipment and 2 to 4 on the level 40 equipment. the level 1 or 2 equipment doesn’t really need Quest because you need damage and defense to survive and get to level 20 quickly.
if you want to, having Epiphany Set (5) will increase experience cap from +200% to +250%. you would need to put 4 Legend +15% experience (can be rolled with Ruby) on 4 Items and then put the Quest MS on them.
Nadroji’s Set Bonus increases the number of Magic and Rare enemies that spawn by +100%. higher Tier monsters give more experience than lower Tier monsters.
Enshrined Perk adds a second Shrine, and the Yellow Experience Shrine increases experience from +25% to +100%.
Hunters Ring or Perk spawns +1-3 Epic enemies when you activate a Shrine or Pool. more experience! the Orange Hunter Shrine spawns +2-4 enemies.
Adventure Mythic give you experience equal to the Gold you pick up. this experience is multiplied by the experience bonus on your equipment. you need these Mythstone to make the Adventure Mythic on the Amulet: Flight, Quest, Fortune, Zenith.
every Difficulty Level (except for Very Easy) also have an experience bonus.
there is an Experience Buff in the Shop, but it cost $0.99 USD for 2 hours.
Accomplished Perk lowers the requirements for finishing Feats. this means the monster killing Feats are done faster for more experience.
there is a monster affix that increases the monster killed experience by +100%.
there is a +% Epic, Rare, and Magic monster Map affix that spawns more of these monsters for more experience.
there is a +% Pack Size Map affix that increases the size of monster mobs for more experience.
hope this helps.
omg that’s detailed. Thank you so much
Any tip on crystal farming and mythstones
floor 500 of any difficulty (I’m going to floor 500 on Very Easy) with Crystalline & Mythical Sets equipped.
also, chances for better Crystals & Mythstones to drop when killing higher Tier monsters, especially Mythic monsters.
