Using a controler

How can I use a controler to play the game ? I’ve seen you can setup some controler mode in the settings, but playing on phone with a controler sounds pretty bad. I have a wired controler.

Im interested in using a controller, the cast to a tv, hell yeah

There are a few ways:

  1. We support HID controllers (Bluetooth) and MFI controllers (made for iOS).
  2. We have native Apple tv and Android/Google versions of Dungeon Quest which support both wired and wireless controllers.
  3. If you are on and android device you can connect your wired controller to it using on OTG cable (older) or usb c cable (newer).

So I just need to either run the game on an emulator or cast my screen on a TV and it should work fine.

Update : the game works fine with a controler  though I might avoid using it in the inventory. Also, having to use the top button for attacks is weird, but that’s on me for being a filthy discordance user.

you can remap in options…hopefully that still works.

Where can I do that ? Can’t find it in the controls options

If I remember correctly it should be on the options menu, then at the top press the “controls” button then you will see two columns of options. It was under the “controller default” option. I don’t have a controller with me here (on a biz trip) so I cannot test if the functionality is still in. I know at one point we needed to update that feature because of some platform changes…so it may have been removed in a previous patch.

Clicking the button does nothing

Okay, we must have removed that with an Android update. The engine we used for DQ is extremely outdated at this point and I remember how difficult it was to get the latest patch released while trying to work around all the requirements for Apple/Google play.
