I’ve noticed the member Bing [Bot] around for many weeks now. Recently there has also been a Google [Bot] too. Nothing from the forums show up in searches on either engine though. Bing [Bot] was just in the tester forum somehow too. What are they doing, why and how?
They gather information for search tools 
Well they suck, as I said, neither engine returns any results. They’re terrible bots.
If there’s a robots.txt, that tells them not to, that’d make sense as to why they aren’t indexing 
Not sure that’s used for dynamic sites like phpbb forums where pages are populated by DB info.
