There are some skills and affixes that can cause “blind” like rogue’s vault skill and using Overload set on gears. When you’re blinded you can’t attack your opponent for a given duration (not sure how long) thus making you vulnerable to attacks as well. Blind resist will reduce the blind duration or makes you immune to it (100% blind resist).
