are you asking for PVP or PVE Hireling?
although I’m not an expert on this, either way, it all depends on the Skills used, which skills are more important than others, going for offensive or defensive fighting style, and how close to/far from the Main Character or Enemy you want to be.
I usually tweak the A.I. setting until it’s close to what I want it to do. some players do lots of experimenting to get it just right.
