What is the point of Gladiator sets? They seem completely worthless

I loved the idea of gladiator sets and unlocking them but the affix is completely useless. Why would you want multiple gladiator affix when you can have one on your trophy? Why would you even want a gladiator affix vs MUCH MUCH useful affixes? I think there should be a change to the sets if possible. Thanks.

I think the only good gladiator item is the trophys.
