What's Wrong with Eternals?

It seems to me to be an effective piece of Gear… Yes! Requiring no building

there isn’t really anything wrong with Eternal Items. Sort of…

on the plus side, Epic & Legend affix values are doubled, and the Item Quality is automatically +50%

on the negative side, only a few Crystals can be used to modify them.

Bad luck? Crystal affix weaker than epic affix

for the HP & MP on hit, Crystal only doubles instead of triple, so same value as Epic on Eternal Item. from +250 to +500 instead of +750. I think there is a game balancing reason for this. Edit: also, Obsidian can be used to improve your Crystal Affix now, not just Diamond. and only a few Crystals can be used on Eternal Items.

Eternal Items are strong, aren’t versatile, and are put in a Build As Is, while Legend Items have versatility, not as strong as Eternals, and are put in a Build As You Want.

for most players, it comes down to personal preference when it comes to using Eternal Items or not.

Some eternals are the dogs bollocks ( english for good). Most eternals are limiting as my old pal @Golem says. The first thing to consider is what kind of build you are making. Killing monsters or other players. If other players then your doomed to failure if monsters probably too if climbing higher. Eternal items are good in early stages. But as you progress you will want to customize your gear. Top tip. Look for eternal fabled hat and weapon .
