I submitted a build idea for a rogue/bowman on Gemini and got this response. Would this actually work on higher floors?
I welcome suggestions for improvement, if applicable.
The helmet is missing its set, any suggestions?
You have high crt dmg, but no crt chance. I suggest to invest on crit chance as well. Pn your head, you only have to choose one crystal, either 225 crt or 30deadly strike. (Keep deadly strike) . Im not a master of bow/rogue.
is this Build going to focus of using GuidedShot Skill for DMG?
Main Hand:
Hand of Epiphany has a Legend +200% Weapon DMG and does not have +100% Element DMG. both of these can not be rolled with Ruby.
take off the +4 Extra Attack (the Ice DMG is already gone), this will give you 2 spaces. one should be Epic +40% MP Reduce. put either a Crystal +45% Attack Speed or +45% Crit Chance. the MP Reduced will lower the cost of GuidedShot by 40%. this stacks with Guided Shots Resource Reduction of 40% at Rank 40.
Off Hand:
Quiver of the Elements the only Nadroji’s Items are Chest, Head, Ring, & Amulet. Nadroji’s Set can not be rolled with Amethyst. all of the other affixes are possible. you just need a different Set affix.
Chest:
Nadroji’s Robe has - Nadroji’s Set, Nadroji’s Bonus, Pick Up Radius, +100% Element DMG, Stun Resist, Empty Socket. if you want to understand why this is not the Item you want to use, use Quartz Crystal to take off Nadroji’s Bonus until you understand.
Nadriji’s Set is usually used on Farm Builds, not Floor Climbing Builds.
the affixes you have are good (except for Nadroji’s Set & Bonus), but you only have 4. need two more affixes. one should be Epic +15% Attack Speed. the other should be Skilled Mythic if most/all of your DMG is going to be from GuidedShot.
Head:
Hood of the Elements
Jasper this to Warrior and use Amethyst to get Rage Set. Rage Set increases your Crit DMG up towards Cap based on your Crit Chance.
you already have +225% Crit DMG on OH. that is the only one you need.
add Epic +10% Dodge. if you want a Set Affix on your Chest, move Glasscannon or Move Speed to the Head Item.
Ring:
Ring of the Elements
change +225% Crit DMG to either +45% Attack Speed or +45% Crit Chance, one will be on your MH and the other will be here.
add Epic +10 Fletcher.
Edit: change Momentum Set to Angelic Set. the build as it is, Angelic is doing +25% DMG and also increases APS +25% while Momentum is only +20% DMG.
Amulet:
Amulet of the Elements you do not need +225% Crit DMG, it is already on your OH.
you need Sanctuary Mythic for more survival.
add Epic +10 Fletcher. you will now have +40 Fletcher for +40% APS. this will make your GuidedShot shoot faster for higher DPS.
you also have the choice to go with 2 +10 GuidedShot instead. this will raise your GuidedShot from Rank 20 to Rank 40.
+100% DMG to +200% DMG
+50% DMG per Pierced Enemy to +100% DMG per Pierce Enemy
+20% Duration to +40% Duration. GuidedShot lasts longer to hit more enemies.
+1 Redirect to +2 Redirect (it could be more, but most skills like this is +1 at Rank 11 and +2 at Rank 31) to seek enemies.
going with GuidedShot 40 will be better DPS than going up to Fletcher 40.
Pet:
if you do not have the Deadly Arts Pet, use another one that has an affix that fits your build. if you don’t have any Legend/Eternal Pets, just use an Epic Pet.
you do not need +5000/10,000 Ice DMG. you already have +400% Ice DMG, which is so very much better!
add Epic +10% Dodge, Epic +15% Attack Speed, Epic +15% Crit Chance, Epic + 250 MP on Hit, Epic +10% Deadly Strike. if this is an Epic Pet, add Epic +10 Relentless
Edit: change Relentless to Epic Freeze to activate Frostbiting.
Mythstones, Legend Affixes, Crystal Affixes, Set Affixes and Mytthic Affixes can not be placed on Pets.
you need 2 Death Natures for this build for maximum Crit Chance. 1 Strength Nature will max out the Crit DMG with Rage Set. 3 Evasion Natures will give you +74.5% Dodge.
with these changes, Attack Speed & Crit Chace will both be +75%. Dodge will be +70%. Deadly Strike will be +70% (52.5% of your attacks will cause Deadly Strike with this build)
the reason I went with Skilled instead of Brutal Mythic is that your DPS will be higher with Skilled than with Brutal, because on higher floors monsters will have huge amounts of HP.
Bow has a Base DMG of 40, second best DMG of Rogue weapons. it also has an APS of 2.25
Bow level 100 has Base Weapon DMG of 5200.
Power 100 x 75 = 7500 + 5200 = 12,700
12,700 x 1.25 (Item Quality) x 3 (Legend +200% WD) = 47,625
47,625 x 5 (Legend +400% Ice) = 238,125
238,125 x 3 (GuidedShot 40) = 714,375
714.375 x 2 (+100% Glasscannon) x 1.5 (+50% Push the Limit) = 2,143,125
2,143,125 x 1.465 (Pathfinder Set) x 1.25 (Angelic Set) = 3,924,597
this build gets +20% DMG with Momentum while switching to Angelic you get +25% DMG and +25% APS, so Angelic would be better. Angelic can be rolled with Amethyst.
3,924,597 x 1.5 (Skilled Mythic) = 5,886,895
5,886,895 x 2 (+100% Pierced DMG to first enemy) = 11,773,790 = Normal DMG
one thing missing from the build is Elemental Crit. you need this to get DMG from Frostbiting. you will have to sacrifice one affix and replace it with Epic +15% Freeze. take off +10 Relentless from the Pet would be best.
11,773,790 x 2 (Frostbiting) = 23,547,580 when enemy is Freezed
25% of your attacks do Normal DMG
22.5% of your attacks do x 5.875 Crit DMG
52.5% of your attacks do x 11.75 Deadly Strike DMG
DPS for Normal DMG (does not include DMG from Crit DMG, Deadly Strike, or Frostbiting, or more than one enemy affected by GuidedShot Pierce DMG)

5.9 x 4.93 (+4 Multi Attack + +4 Extra Attack Chance) = 29.08
11,773,790 x 29.08 = 342,381,813 DPS (Normal DMG)
all together, your DPS could get up to almost 7 billion. 2 or more enemies Pierced will mean even higher DPS, maybe 10 to 25 billion DPS.
Disclaimer: my math might be off a little, but I think I am close to a good calculation of the numbers.
One observation I made, in the initial build I posted, is that each item had a slot left vacant for a new attribute. What do you suggest for each of them?

the Talents on my test Epic Bow build were: Fletcher 30, Stagger 10, Ensnaring 30, Ambush 20, Propulsion 20, Mutilate 10, Relentless 40, DeadEye 20.
this build did good on floor 100 M3, and on floor 500 M3 I survived by sniping enemies from long distance. having my GuidedShots drop Traps all over the place to DMG enemies while Stunning & Knocking Back enemies kept them from killing me with one hit (most of the time. I got unlucky on some Maps)
when I only had a few Pets, I did my best to put affixes on them that I use with most of my builds, and now that I have more Pets, and multiples of some of the Legend Pets, affixes are more specialized for different builds.
on builds that have few Epic affixes, I have to really think about which ones to use, otherwise, just use affixes that best fit on your build. I have sometimes changed my Pet affixes when I need to make small changes
@Golem One question: is the location (item) of the crystal attributes important, or can I switch between them without any problem? For example, if I got 30% deadly Strike from an off-hand counter instead of a chest, can I use that on the chest and use the crystal attribute I should have gotten off-hand from the chest?
Crystal affixes can go on any Item except for Pets. Crystal Block can only be placed on OH. the Warrior Items with Block affixes on them have a chance to be found/bought with Crystal Block instead.
