For the past few months, I’ve been playing Dungeon Quest, and I’m having a great time! But I feel like I’ve reached somewhat sort of plateau with my present build, so I’m hoping more seasoned players can offer some guidance to assist me maximise my setup.
Here’s some background information on my persona and manner of play:
Warrior is the character class; level: 70
Main Weapon: Legendary Dragon’s Fury
Guardian’s Shield is a secondary weapon (Epic)
Principal Data: Vitality, Strength, and Critical Chance
Present Competencies:
Whirlwind at maximum
Battle Cry (intermediate)
Barrier Wall (low-lying)
Cerberus (focusses on attack speed as well as wellness regeneration) is a pet.
Equipment: Mostly a combination of Epic and Legendary, with a focus on boosting survivability and critical hit probability.
Playstyle: I want to be right in the heart of things, facing up against several foes at once. I use Battle Cry to buffs and Whirlwind for damage a lot. My goal is to strike a balance between my offensive and defensive skills.
I have the following specific queries:
Stat Allocation: Should I give some stats more or less priority than others? I’ve been putting a lot of emphasis on physical fitness and strength, but I’m not sure if I should devote as much time on dexterity or other metrics.
Synergy of Skills: might you suggest any combinations of skills that I might use to improve my present setup? Should I think about improving or modifying some of my skills?
Gear and Enchantments: What specific pieces of gear or enchantments are essential for my build? Anything that can increase my damage production or durability really interests me.
Pet Synergy: Should I choose another pet that better fits my playstyle or stick with Cerberus as the ideal pet for my build?
I would be grateful for any more advice or thoughts you may share! If it means enhancing both my overall efficiency and love of the game, I’m willing to make some big adjustments.
If you don’t already have them, first farm the Nadroji items. The “+2 set numbers” is straight up the best affix in the entire game by a long shot, and getting a Elixir mythstone is much harder. To farm for them, focus on damage and luck and farm floor 101 on mythic 3, Hunter mythic might help.
For survivability, the Warrior has a neat trick to have 100% block but it requires Epiphany (7), which means 3 Epiphany items so avoid that. If you plan to go on high floors, focus on block and dodge and get the Sanctuary mythic. HP are pretty much useless on very high floors.
are you Climbing Floors, Ascending for Perks, Farming?
Epic Items can be just as good as Legend Items with the right affixes on them. what makes Legend Items a little better than Epic is that some affixes can only be found on Legend Items, and it’s easier to roll max affix values on Legend Items compared to Epic Items. Eternal Items are twice as strong as Legends, but you can only use about half or less of the Crystals on them, which makes them harder to craft into a particular build.
since you are still leveling up, do some experimenting with Epic affixes. I did a lot of experimenting with affixes when I was Ascending for my first Perk with my Wizard. back then, I just wanted to know how they worked, and now a lot of my experiments with affixes are about affix combinations and synergy.
Stat Points and Hero Skills depend a lot on the Build you want. many builds need HP to work and others can work with only 1 HP. most Builds need enough Mana to use Skills, but there are some Resources that either need Mana to work or don’t need Mana at all. Power is about doing Damage, and there are some Builds that do lots of Damage without high Power… using other ways to boost damage.
Dexterity Skill at 20 or higher is good for almost every Build. Strength & Intelligence depend on build requirements. Fortune is usually for Farm Builds.
Weapon Skills should focus on main skill causing damage and any secondary skills being used.
Crit Chance +60%, Crit Damage +350%, and Deadly Strike +30% to +60% will give you lots of spike damage. Brutal Mythic on Chest is good with Deadly Strike +40% or better.
for a test, try using Arcane Element to get it’s Elemental Crit Orbit. Whirlwind is close to mid range attack, and Orbit is a ball of magic that forms next to the Character and then spins away, doing damage to any enemies in it’s path. Celestial is the Elemental Crit Damage that improves the damage of Orbit. Living Force Set causes Orbit to spin back to where it started, doing double damage on the way back (with Living Force (5)).
The Bulwark Talent increases Block for 5 seconds when you Block an attack. if you don’t Block an attack for 5 seconds, your Block goes to the lower value until you Block again.
