Welcome to DQ Forums @Traveler_45 !
It’s a good Farm Build.
have you considered changing one of your Pet affixed to +10 KnightsCharge? this will put it at 20 skill points instead of just 10 with +10 All Skills.
KnightsCharge:
+50% DMG to +100% DMG = more DMG!
+10% Movement Speed to +20% Movement Speed = more movement is good.
+25% Spell Duration to +50% Spell Duration = more attacks!
+25% Hit Frequency to +50% Hit Frequency = 6 attacks a second!
tanking will work for awhile, but Armor & All Resist formulas have the floor level in them, which means Armor & All Resist become less useful as you go up to higher floors. from the build, it looks like you are on a lower difficulty level, so you should be ok for awhile.
being able to move fast will help with getting out of the way of enemy attacks, and I guess you are usng Cloak to defend in tough situations.
Thank you for welcoming me, Golem.
I prefer health and armor for maximum defense against enemies but i see that the 10+ has a decent effect on my charge.
I also farm typically around floor 500-900 on mythc 3, the max difficulty and I am completely aware of the enemy scaling, trust me i saw them goofy numbers in the forums lol. I dont cloak for my pet is the cloak, healing me everytime when the enemies gets overwhelming.
So now i ask a question thats being eating me up ever since i picked up rpg games, H O W in the heck is everybody getting damage and health in the hundred millions or billions, and not me?
every build is a balancing act between Damage/DPS - Defense - Resource.
for DMG you need damage and damage multiplier affixes.
for DPS you need Attack Speed and/or Cooldown and/or Skills that have Attack Frequency.
Crit Chance and Crit DMG with Deadly Strike is your friend.
This I already know but I see other tank builds that have like 30-60 million hp with far less complexly than my build.
Am I missing something? or do i just suck at making builds?
the build is missing damage multipliers.
Pistoleer and Counter Talents give 0 damage for this build.
your Crit DMG is only +50%, so DMG from Deadly Strike (from DeadEye Talent) is 1.5 x 2 = 3x Deadly Strike DMG.
when Crit DMG is maxed, Deadly Strike looks like this: 5 x 2 = 10x Deadly Strike DMG. if you want to put Brutal Mythic on your Chest, Deadly Strike will be 15x DMG.
Relentless is the biggest damage boost on this build.
another thing is that, as a Farm Build, you have 5 affixes for Farming instead of DMG. also, KnightCharge is a Warrior Skill, so it’s hard for a Rogue or Wizard to get good DMG with it if not using +5 All Skills on both weapons and maybe +10 KnightCharge on the Pet. Identity Set increases DMG of Skills from other Classes.
look at the affixes in the Codex > Dictionary to see what other affixes there are that boost damage. some can be rolled with crystals and some can only be found on Items.
hope this helps.
Thank you Golem for your help, I appreciate it, I’ll see if I can explore the fourms for more info to heavily boost my character.
I wonder whats your advice into getting a boat-load of health.
Health, like Armor and All Resist, is only good for the early game, PVP, and a few late game builds. I think there are some posts of builds with tons of defense. not sure if it’s possible, but I know of a post for a Wizard PVP build that has around 126k All Resist, so there must be some AR builds with 500k, maybe over a million if focusing on AR.
did you know there are 1 HP Builds? just use +100% Glasscannon, it leaves you with 1 HP. it’s crazy, but fun when done right.
in my Noob days, I learned early from the Forum that high Health, Armor, and All Resist were useless on higher floors, and can get in the way of making a farming build with some defense and enough damage to farm properly.
after I got all my Perks, I rely on Dodge, Block, Sanctuary, and other ways to stay alive.
