I recently got back into the game and decided to restart (made a separate login, still have my old login but didn’t like it).
It has been quite some time since I last played, I think at least 3-4 years now. From the looks of things not much has changed however my memory is shit so I still need some help.
I vaguely remember there being a chart on which tier up or down crystals etc that is recommended, but can’t find that anymore?
I also would love some help on mythic items as I lost the old picture I had of the Hunter ring combination among others.
Also, since the new account has no level 99 character and no perks, are there any guides or builds you recommend to start out with?
As I said, not played in a long while but I wanted to get back into the game instead of spending all my time and money on Gacha games. Practically a blank slate at this point because of how little I remember. I still have sort of a rough plan of what I intend to do, but no idea how to get there; plan to be able to get to 300-500 M3 difficulty, primarily farming, 200-250 range is an acceptable start though. I like wizard as main but can get persuaded to run other classes as well, and have been tempted to see if I can make a blink strike build work.
Focus: movement speed / clear speed and feat farming.
Thanks in advance for anyone reading and / or providing help!! <3
So far managed to get 2 Aftermath equipment so has been levelling with meteor taunts. Pushing towards 150 atm on M3 and almost level 90 on my two characters so far.
Gonna try to get some form of build started properly as soon as I hit 200.
Edit; Also, would a blink strike proc build work? Was thinking, teleport in, attack, proc things, and keep going, never standing still?
For the most part playing with a controller, so not sure if that would make movement easier than with touch screen. Been using meteor and shatter right now to get to 200 and shatter movement is awkward and so is teleport. But I figure since blink strike is a targeted skill, that teleports to an enemy and attack I think, it would be better for a teleporting proccer? Since it would go from enemy to enemy I assume instead of randomly into the wall on the side by mistake.
What do you mean which enemy? Blinkstrike would target any enemy in range? Shatter and teleport does not target anything even if there are enemies in range and sometimes just misses enemies completely. But Blinkstrike prioritises enemies with a teleport into a strike, as long as there are enemies in range.
Edit: Also stuck around 140 M3, I keep dying now and the 100% taunt and 100% fear is not enough to keep me alive anymore. Not really sure how to continue at M3, so think I’ll push 200 on M1 and see if that works? And try to farm there with a little bit lower difficulty.
Since right now my damage is fine for what I am trying to do, I need some help on how to survive? Like is there a specific skill or stat that helps with not being 1 shot, specifically for wizard as that is currently what I am using because of a lack of alternatives at the moment. I still have not gotten any + set items, and do not have enough shards for nadroji unlock, so I cannot really do a proper build yet, so I would need a stop-gap while I farm for items with that stat first, or if I’m lucky and get the mythstone I need.
on lower levels, HP, Armor, Damage Recuction, and All Resist work great. when going to higher levels, this will just get you one shot eventually.
the next step is using Dodge, Block, Sanctuary Mythic, Movement, Crowd Control, Kill Enemies First & Fast, or some combination of these. why? because Wizard doesn’t have something like Warriors +100% Block Build or Rogues PermaStealth Build. and when enemies can one shot you, not getting hit is very important.
I’ve done well with Dodge +60% and Block +45% with & without Sanctuary, and Dodge +75% with & without Block +45% with & without Sanctuary.
I like using Teleport for getting out of trouble and have recently discovered that enemies like attacking minions.
Yes it will be semi random and that is the point. It will focus enemies if any within range, and dash between all of them if more than one enemy is there, back and forth. More or less. I got something rudimentary working right now but as I said above somewhere, got none of the + set effect stats so I do not have a proper build or anything going. It’s right now my hireling. Dashes around and procs Storm I think it’s called for a big aoe. Right now my main is a wizard running 4 Aftermath equipment to get the 100% chance to taunt on meteor and fear on shatter. Since it is the cheapest aoe damage I found that keeps me relatively safe (still dies several times per floor even on legend 150 ish but it lets me kill things).
Is there any good early sets to look for that will give me a fair amount of these defensive stats? Because I feel like I do not have the crystals to sit and roll and hope.
Also at approximately what floor is best to farm for Nadroji pieces? I figure those would be the easiest way to get the ‘2+ set effect’ for the other build at this point? Costs like 2250 shards or something to unlock one of them alone so a bit expensive if I can’t find it.
Edit: Soo I made a warrior, because well it was easier to get defensive stats on the warrior. And it’s shocking to see how much less my wizard dies when the warrior smacks the ground. Lmao
I think I will try to build a warrior that’ll keep my wizard or rogue alive, so taunts is a must. But besides that I do not know what is good. The lance or whatnot with dashes feels so bad to play with. And I cannot sustain anything at all because of mana issues. And I have no idea how to fix that. Also, is it normal to find a random legendary shield with 150k dps? Every other weapon and offhand I’ve found is 10-20k at most, but this one random shield I got has insane damage (1.5-3m on shield bash, compared to my 100-300k on literally anything else). I have no idea how or why.
Ahh, I assume Nadroji is more commonly gotten from like epic enemies?
I will run 101-120 and then repeat and try.
My wizard got the perk that spawns more epic enemies on shrines and my rogue got the dealer one. My warrior is not yet at 99, but it’ll probably also get dealer.
Also, is there a chart for the mythic items combinations? I’d love to get some mythic items like blood magic I think it is for my warrior since mana is a pain, etc?
Warrior using a Hammer with Smash? Smash has a Taunt effect.
Nadroji’s Crystal & Stone are dropped by Epic, Legend, and Mythic monsters (Powerful Enemies) on floors 101 or higher. the LegendEx in the Codex has info for where to find any Item, below the picture of the Item.
one way to fix Mana Resource problems is to replace an affix on a weapon with Epic MP Reduce +40%. it only works on the weapon it is on. on lower weapons the value is lower, but on level 90ish to 100, the cost to use a skill MPR is on is reduced 40% (100 x 0.6 = 60 mana to use a skill for example).
Wisdom Nature lowers Resource 5% and counts towards the lower Resource cap. (the dictionary says 10% but last time I looked in the Stat Page it showed 5%). if you have 2 Wisdom with MP Reduce 100 x 0.6 x 0.9 = 54.
the second post in this thread has a link to help with Mythic Recipes.
Bloodmagic is a good resource, but it doubles skill costs and it sucks if your HP goes down too far to use them. I recently discovered that you can use MP Reduce with it. it lowers the spell cost for the weapon it is on before it is doubled by Bloodmagic. the other problem is having your HP lowered without going too low to make use of the 200% of missing HP % increased damage. if you’re ok with extra damage every once in awhile, no problems, but if you really want that extra damage with most of your attacks, go with Masochism Set. it will keep your HP around 50%ish for an average of +80% to +120% damage, depending on how much your HP fluctuates due to healing effects.
I must’ve missed the mythic recipes thread, you say through the link you sent at the top?
Also I don’t really understand how natures and stuff work or how to change them properly, I know it’s with crystals like everything else but yeah…
Also is there any good ratio between stay within x distance and avoid enemy within x distance to use for the Ai movement of the hireling? I feel it either just stands too far away doing nothing or it sticks too close to my wizard and like doesn’t move to attack things….
I will look into either blood magic or the natures for mana sustain later, a bit tired of running maps right this second and wanna play some other games in between.
I do like shield and hammer combo, with Zealotry or whatever the set is called. Especially because I really like the second skill of a shield that reduce damage taken and gives movement speed.
in the above thread, go down to Griffin’s Smithery: Masterrpost and click on it, and then click on the Mythics Link.
look in Codex > Dictionary > Natures and Crystals to see what they do.
Natures are random when found on Items, so it’s possible to find an Item you want with the Nature you want. takes time until you have enough Crystals to do it the easy way or get lucky the first few tries.
I always have problems with the A.I. also. I just tweak it until it’s a lot better than aweful.
I really like Hammer/Shield/Zealotry combo myself. I usually change the Shield Special to Scalp or Torrent. recently had an idea for an Axe Build, but I need to think about if for awhile before I go into testing/building mode.
Thanks a lot. I found the mythics thread and seems comprehensive but slightly outdated (some things mentioned needed testing but was never updated etc).
I’ll look into the dictionary in a few ours when I’m back on the game. Been mirroring my phone to my Xbox and played it like an Xbox game, inventory management with touch but map clearing with controller. Mostly because skills go off smoother with a controller I noticed. Sometimes touch doesn’t trigger them properly unless pressed two or more times, but controller always work first try. Not sure if it’s a bug in game or if it’s my phone being laggy for touch.
My idea for my warrior is probably running that combo, hammer, shield, zealotry, and having it run in, bonk the ground, and sort of just stand there tanking. So it really doesn’t need to do damage, just survive. So I assume armour, resistances and block is the way to go?
Still haven’t figured out how I want to fully do damage, I like meteor but the range feels a bit bad to use. So debating a rogue with the gun / bow and proc things from afar. Idk, a second option warrior even that actually does damage to retain survivability? Meteor does lag a bit when casting like 10+ a second through procs and cooldown resets using shatter (aftermath set), so maybe something more focused or less particle heavy aoe is what I need. Idk yet.
