Got a question in regards to eternals. If you get them at level 100, will they have maxed affix rolls or will they be random? I got an eternal Aftermath chest piece, and I was thinking I could make an aftermath build like I wanted to earlier on my second wizard. I’d use the eternal chest piece in such a case, with the eternal Nadroji necklace/amulet. Also could you do a full eternal build, with 6 eternal items? Or is that generally not good because you’d miss out on crystal and mythic bonuses?
I’ve had all kinds of builds. the affixes depend on the build goals. I’ve done builds with all Epic affixes and some with all Mythstones. some builds had an Item or two (or even a Pet) that didn’t have a Set affix. sometimes no Legend affixes on an Item or two and sometimes an Item with 3 Legend affixes (I try not go over 2 Legend affixes on an Item because it can be hard to max 2 or mroe). for Mytthic affixes, if your build requires 0 to 6 Mythic affixes, that’s how many you put on it.
affixes on Eternal Items are random values, but are 75% of max value or higher. I’m not sure of this, but I think I’ve read that on higher floors between 200 to 1000 the chances are better for max values.
some players have made all Eternal Items builds, but you have to do some thinking of which Items you want because only about 1/3 of the Crystals can be used on Eternal Items.
The Dev’s have mentioned that until they do something like the next major Patch, or something like that, the Leader Boards are down, and we also have to wait for the next change for Battle Arena Class Talent Tree Backs… I’m waiting for the Season 3 Backs.
Wait so are they actually still working on the game somewhere in the abyss? Or?
Also, just tweaked my sword a bit, anything I can do to improve its damage? (I removed the sprint proc legend affix with kyanite, and rolled for explosive and multi with ruby one at a time to max explosive first)
Went from my previous 55k dps to this.
Edit: is % poison damage better than flat?
well, just a few months ago, they had an update so that DQ can be used on the more current devices.
when it comes to damage affixes… some only affect the Skills of the Weapon they are on and others affect the Weapon with the same Element, and some only affect only one Skill or all Skills.
depending on a Weapons Base Damage and how many stat points you put into Power will determine if WD% or WD+ and if ED% or ED+ is the better one.
Warrior Lance BWD is not the same and corrected in a later post in this thread.
First, Endow MS has been changed to increase a Weapons BWD instead of giving WD%. (I did the math and found out you get more damage this way)
if you look at the formula for DPS, Flat ED+ is calculated last. sure, you can put 7 of them on your Build for +35K ED+, but depending on the Weapon you are using, 1 to 3 +100% ED% with enough Power Stat and maybe Flat Weapon Damage can give you just as much if not way more damage as Flat ED+. Flat ED+ is only good for PVP Builds or a Damage Only Build.
besides, that Swords DPS is based on affixes on the Sword and not the other Items. you’re better off considering the DPS of the Skills on the Stat Page based on all of the affixes on the Build that are considered for DPS.
umm the short answer is % Poison is usually better than + Poison, with Legend % Poison being better than Epic % Poison. depending on the Build and Weapon, it might be a toss up between Epic % Poison and + Poison if you don’t have any Items with Legend % Poison.
hope this helps.
I think I got it… now Is power something I should skill into on wizard? I have just been doing mana or whatever.
Also, what the hell is this?!
I had no idea I could drop this?
Oh and I managed to get past floor 200, using only one built character (my hireling in level 2 gear with 200% exp).
:rolf: nice Gold Find on your 1st Eternal Challenge Map. there is a Cartographers Killed and Maps Picked up Feat that drop a Legend Challenge Map as a Reward. they have the same chance as other Legend Items of being Eternal with double value affixes.
Power, Health, and Mana Stats: for me, my Beginner and Ascending Builds tend to have an even mix of the 3. since I’ve been using MP Reduce I’ve been putting fewer Points into Mana for more in Power & Health. most of my Builds will have 100 Power, 5 Health, 8 Mana, unless it needs Health (Bloodmagic) or Mana (Push the Limit or Alchemy).
Rogues get some Dodge from Power Stat.
Wizards get some All Resist from Mana Stat.
Warriors get some Armor from Health Stat.
Power Stat gives +75 damage per point.
Health Stat gives +150 health per point. (I think it’s 150 points)
Mana Stat gives +150 mana per point. (I think it’s 150 points)
also, you get +50 Health & Mana every time you level up.
Thanks, since I have no mana issues what so ever I will respec into mostly power then.
Did some playing around with the crystals I had gathered and made a rudimentary Aftermath build. No idea how to make it survive better. Might be better as a hireling since the game itself doesn’t have input delay and can better utilise the resets of shatter and meteor. Maybe should be a hireling to my tank, or something. Since the tank also taunts. It would truly group everything together.
I have yet to get an epiphany drop though, and spent my shards for now unlocking eternalised hat, put it on my orb reactor build for better farming results. It has a crystal crushing blow or whatever it’s called, the one that deals 25% of enemy health at a chance.
Edit: oh and I finally got the last myth stone. Still don’t have all of the later ones but I got 1 copy of the one that gives +2 all sets. Not sure if there is a way to farm them similarly to converting eternals to the super rare crystals.
Epiphany doesn’t drop until you’re past floor 600.
Ahh okay, I guess I have to use shards then. Got some 2000+ shards last night when I was grinding maps… will have to redo that again.
Is there a ‘best’ combination for hireling x main when it comes to classes? I am still debating, jumping between my different characters trying to figure out what to make my main two for farming and pushing. Naturally I do believe I need different builds for each purpose as by making a farm build you give up on damage and survivability in favour of more luck, gold find, etc. and farming should be my primary priority until I have enough resources to build something more proper. As I at least now have the capabilities of pushing into the low 200s with just my wizard alone, I’ll be farming there for a bit with my wizard + warrior combo to make it a little less risky for survival purposes.
I do however still want to know a few things for this purpose. As of right now I am unsure exactly how far I can push as I didn’t try much more once I past 200 the other day, but is there any floor thresholds that are a big step up in terms of what you can get that I should be aiming for?
What is more important if I have to pick, Gold find, luck, or item quantity? Which of those should I focus if I can only pick one (or maybe two), so that I can still maintain damage? I’d assume gold find to be the least valuable due to dealer ascendancy, but could be wrong?
Right now I plan on keep farming shards / legends as I level up my characters for ascendancy, so that I can unlock eternalised, crystalised, Nadroji and epiphany set pieces, as I’d assume those would be beneficial.
Floor 500 of any Difficulty Level is the highest for most Players (maximum best chance for Ultra Rare Crystals & Mythstones), 1001 M3 for those very hard to get Legends & Eternals if you don’t feel like unlocking them with Dust.
Luck would be more important than Gold Find, unless Gold is more important than Item Tier Rank. Item Drop isn’t all that important except for having larger drop amounts.
A solo Maxed Farm Build on Floor 500 or 1001 of any Difficulty Level should be able to make enemies die pretty quickly if not outright make them instantly melt. same for a Farm Team. the affixes are there.
when it comes to Classes for Main & Hireling for Farming, Floor Climbing, or PVP, it all comes down to the builds and personal preference. I’ve seen 2 of the same Class and all combinations of any two Classes throughout the Forums, so go crazy!
Okay so I should aim for floor 500 as a start, and then optimise that. Now I guess all I am lacking is the knowledge of what exactly is required to kill things at those floors and survive at the same time. But I suppose I will figure that out in time. Need more crystals anyways.
Also I was rolling legendary affixes the other day and found the ‘ignore all resist’ or whatever it’s called. Is that worth having on a piece or would having other pure damage affixes or weaken / crushing blow etc be more worth it?
I like Ignore Resist because it’s a great all around performer that only takes up one slot and allows you to include a Crystal affix on the same piece of equipment.
With Ignore Resist, you don’t need Weaken and it won’t work together anyway.
@Golem prefers Weaken, and presents good reasoning, but it all depends on your build.
I try to keep it simple so Ignore Resist works just fine for me.
I also uae Crushing Blow on floors over 500.
My builds are mostly poison with hatchet as my main weapon for damage. Eternalized Lance for speed, Plagued, Momentum, Aethereal Drain for elemental critical and a Blood Magic helmet with Crystalline set are my go-to equipment.
Okay. So Ignore Resist and Weaken are incompatible, good to know.
I am not sure how I will build it. But I want as much damage as possible in as few affixes as possible, so that I can dedicate the rest to Fortune, Luck, and one Exp affix on each piece. I want to get my mage to max ascendancy and level 99, so the 6 quest stones is a must. I also do not want to just passively run floor 100 on loop as I do so, but would want to farm while I’m at it. Might not be the most efficient but it’ll keep the game more fun for me if I can farm while grinding exp at the same time.
Overall poison orb reactor build seems to be performing well. And I should be able to replace the Toxic cloud trigger with the legendary affix instead making me require less affixes for that purpose. So if I run the elemental crit chance legend and ignore resist, I think I’d have two things covered pretty well.
After that I would most likely want to add Explosion or whatever the legend affix is called but I do not know exactly how that one works. I believe it says 5% chance of 400% MH damage explosion, but does having that stat on multiple pieces add the chance only, or does it affect the damage. For example would 2x Explosion be 10% chance at 800% MH damage, or would it still be 5% chance at 800%? 10% at 400% does it multiply instead of add? Idk if it’d be worth stacking.
Having Orb Reactor in MH is also fine, but what OH would be good? Debating the skull shield but if I do take the skull shield thing I’d want to swap the second skull to the shield wall I think it is from warrior shield if that’s possible.
For exp, just make a separate build to farm floor 101. Exp gain doesn’t increase beyond floor 100.
I am very well aware but as I said, it’s not fun. I do not wanna sit and brainlessly farm exp at floor 100. Hence I will incorporate exp farming into my farming build. I’d rather enjoy playing the game than being the most efficient. Also once I am max level I am practically wasting all the exp I’m getting: might as well get the exp if get while farming anyways.
My understanding is that with Explosive, the damage stacks but the chance percentage does not.
that is correct.
to be honest, I’m actually split on Weaken & Ignore Resist and use both depending on build requirements. one Crystal Weaken +90% is usually good enough for any build, but I like having +120% even though it takes 2 spaces. and the reason I like using Weaken is More Damage! Effective Mythic works well with Weaken (I’ve only recently really considered using it with Weaken).
Ignore Resist is a close second to Weaken. the 2 biggest reasons to use it are that it only takes one space and your damage never gets reduced from enemy Element Resists or Immunities. the only negative is no extra damage, but this can be made up using a damage affix in the space saved using IR. Effective Mythic does not work with Ignore Resist just like Weaken.
my more recent Ascending Builds have one each of +75% Gold Find & Luck for a little better farming as I get Perks, and I put some points into Fortune Skill.
Explosive affix works better with some skills than others. it has a 2000 cap. it’s always 5% chance. any enemy taking damage from Explosive also has a 5% chance to explode, so you might see some nice chain reactions in large groups of monsters.
Okay, so 400% on 3 pieces for 1200% damage would be nice. Do not think I need more than that, considering it’s chance for chain reactions when in a mob and thus hitting multiple times.
I was planning explosive on orb reactor poison cloud.
So I was thinking for sets:
Reactor, Plague, Eternalised, Nadroji, Crystalised and a sixth, not sure what yet. Maybe two Nadroji with the 100% enemy rarity or whatever it says for the set bonus on the chest piece. (Maybe Epiphany(?))
For mythics, I think I want Bloodmagic as a resource system, with Sanctuary (I think it was) for survival. Are there any other mythics worth considering or is that fine??
For affix focus I was thinking poison damage%, luck, explosion, ignore resist, and of course elemental crit chance legendary affix
Sockets I was thinking one Quest on each gear with one life leach on one piece for sustain.
Thinking Sword and Skull or Sword and orb for teleports for MH and OH.
I do not have the items built yet so can’t show anything visually but are there anything here that should be added, removed, changed on a basis of it just being bad / worse than something else? It’s not gonna push too far but I’m hoping for enough damage and clear for 250-300F on M3. Mostly so that I can farm there while figuring out a hireling as well. As I need to get the crystals etc for a full block warrior.
