here is a good post that helped me see how useful Weaken is, whether Effective is worth having on my Build or not (have been thinking about how useful it is on certain Builds), and the Pro’s & Con’s of using Ignore Resist.

to be honest, it took a lot of time playing and some more time Searching the DQ Forum for help and tips, not to mention reading the Codex and then making Builds to understand most affixes, and now I am starting to look at affixes I don’t normally use, as I am getting ideas for even more Builds.

in my early days, I learned how powerful Crit Chance & Crit Damage are, then Deadly Strike and Brutal Mythic. after that, I started learning lots of the other stuff, since I knew I could kill monsters instead of the other way around.

First Mythic Brutalizes Monsters

I crafted my first mythic item yesterday, for my ascension build. love the higher crit damage on the screen. had to spend a lot of gold converting myth stones to get the Master, though. but it was so worth it. Brutal Mythic, terrifying monsters everywhere.

Golems Critical Hit Basics

All Characters start with +10% Chance to do a Critical Hit for +50% DMG. This shows on your screen as Purple Numbers. on average, 1 out of 10 hits will be a Crit. Crit Chance: the Cap for Crit Chance is +60%. so you can improve your Crit Chance to be 6 out of 10 hits to be a Crit, on average. Crit DMG: the Cap for Crit DMG is +350%. the +50% you start with is not counted towards the Cap, but is added to the total. so your max Crit DMG would be +400%. WD% + ED% = Good Teamwork

I will be using Epic & Legend versions of % WD/ED. I have asked myself what are the best combinations of these affixes on different builds? One Element, Two Element, and Prismatic Builds. Epic WD is +100%, Legend WD is +200%. they increase the BWD of the Weapon they are on. they don’t stack. WD +50% from Endow Myth Stone does stack with either one of these. these posts also apply to only Epic affix Builds (except for the Brutal Mythic), but wont be as powerful as items/builds with Legend/Mythic affixes. they will help in learning for when you find the Legend items for the more powerful builds and then have a better idea of how to use them.
